CHU Draft Analysis: Big time athlete with an NBA body. Strong and explosive, a tough matchup for anyone with his inside-outside game and a monster in transition.
Needs to continue refining perimeter skills, but projects as a combo forward with the size and strength to play inside and skills to succeed on the perimeter.
Breaks down defense and finishes strong at the rim and loves to fill the lane on the break. Has plus upcourt speed and explosive first step. More than capable passer, but will need to continue working on ballhandling. Smooth, albeit inconsistent, release from beyond the arc that should stretch as he gains experience.
Plays with great intensity and hustles. Risk factor is that he may be a tweener. Assuming he can defend the wing, such worries should be alleviated. (updated: 4/5/09)
