MOCK 2010 NBA DRAFT (v9)

The John Wall Sweepstakes are in full motion, with the moribund New Jersey Nets comfortably leading Minnesota. Of course, the NBA Draft Lottery will decide where Kentucky's wonder kid will go.

Despite the presence of Wall - unlike the 2009 Draft that saw 12 point guards selected in the first round - it is a distinct possibility no other floor leader will hear their name called in Round 1.

The point guard of this draft could very well be power forward, where at least 10 players have legit shots at going in the first round. If all the talented bigs decide to declare in 2010, it may even be a draft to remember.

 RECENT UPDATES
One of the small handfull of remaining Top 50 prospects - Justin Coleman - has given a verbal commitment to Rick Pitino. Coleman becomes only the second commit for Louisville in 2010-11 and pick the Cards after an intense winter Pitino press.

2009-10 OUTGOING TRANSFERS  TOP 25 2010-11 INCOMING CLASSES
It is doubtful the outgoing transfers from the 2009-10 season will match the production last year's transfers are having at programs this year (i.e. Wesley Johnson, Ekpe Udoh, Mike Gerrity, Elliot Williams and Alex Stepheson), but several high profile players are moving on and should be big contributors come 2010-11.

Which incoming 2010-11 transfers are best bets to have the biggest impacts? We like Duke guard Seth Curry, ex-Rutgers post Greg Echenique (AP Photo) and former Bruin Drew Gordon.

Through the better part of a year, Ohio State appeared firmly atop the recruiting rankings for 2010-11. Then Memphis wonderboy Josh Pastner (AP Photo) kicked into high gear and assembled a post-John Calipari class of seven talented preps that surged to #1.

If you grade by Conference, it's been a banner year for the ACC. The four Carolina schools - UNC, Duke, Wake Forest and NC State - have Top 10 classes. Maryland, Virginia and Florida State also boast Top 25-worthy classes.

With a hand full of elite players remaining on the board, including Brandon Knight, Terrence JonesTerrence Ross and Josh Selby, there could still be significant movement in the Top 25 before the Spring Signing Period.
