CHU Analysis: Has all the ingredients of a prototype NBA power forward, minus 2-3 inches in height. May end up closer to 6-6 or 6-7 than 6-8, but does have a ridiculous wingspan to compensate. Powerful and athletic - capable of gaining and holding position down low.
Strong finisher around the basket, using skill, feel and touch instead of thunderous dunks. Can play back-to-the basket and hit turnarounds, drop-steps and facing the basket. Increasing consistency on mid-range jumper to beyond the arc.
Competes on defense, rarely giving opponent free position on the block. At some point, height may become a disadvantage against lengthier players, but does not appear to be an issue now. Uses quick first and subsequent leaps as a shotblocker and has the quickness and athleticism to defend out to the perimeter.
Plenty of upside remaining and wants to improve, so has potential to move up draft boards quickly. Is improving ballhandling and with more offensive versatility and development on the perimeter should be an effective starter as a pro.
